因為有為人父母、孩子還有兄弟姊妹等不同的成員結合，使得雙語誠班與其他班級不同的結合轉化成一種圓融。使親、師、生有了更親也更進一步的溝通和幸福在當中流轉著。。。

這個溫暖的星期天，我們聚集在大都會的廣場，享受著不同的學習課程；
不論是中文電腦拼音打字、參訪慈濟基金會支會辦公室還有中午的傳統地方食物聚餐，相信我們都度過了一個有意義又特別的一個讀書天喔!!

親愛的家長

雙語誠班計畫在四月十三日星期天的上課時間舉行一次特別的校外教學。

活動當天我們將利用進行的教學活動包括：體驗電腦中文打字和漢語拼音練習、參訪慈濟支會辦公室，使學生們進一步認識慈濟的歷史背景與中文學校創辦的緣起等等。接著，我們將會利用剩下的時間實際練習看中文菜單、點餐和品嚐道地的台灣食物；目的為讓我們的學生除了課堂內的中文學習外，還可以進一步體驗學校外的實際中文應用。歡迎學生家長與我們同行喔!

時間：2008年 4 月13日 (9:30am – 12:30pm)
地點：大都會廣場入口集合 3636 Steeles Ave. E. Markham, Ontario L3R 1K9

Dear Parent,

We are planning a field trip for the bilingual class on Sunday, April 13. On the day, we will spend the first 90 minutes practicing pinyin and Chinese input on computers. We will also visit the Tzu-chi branch office and learn about the history and background of the Tzu-chi foundation and the Humanistic Academy.

For the remaining time we will practice speaking Chinese to order meals from the menu and taste Taiwanese food. This will give the students a great opportunity to apply what they learned in class.

Time: April 13, 2008 (9:30am – 12:30pm)
Place: Metro Square, 3636 Steeles Ave. E, Markham, ON L3R 1K9

親愛的家長 Dear parents

四月的雨帶來春草嫩綠，春天的喜悅，正是因為著蘊藏著無窮的希望。您的孩子已在慈濟與我們度過了七個月。您是否在孩子身上看到了不同以往的希望呢？為了讓您更加貼近老師與孩子的心，了解靜思語教學的真諦，依行事曆本校將於4月20日，在各班教室舉行本學年度懇親會。各班舉行的時段如下：
April showers bring us the joys of spring and a season full of hope. As of April, your children would have been with the Tzu Chi Academy for seven months. Have you noticed any improvement with your children? We would like to bring you closer to the hearts and soul of your children and our teachers, and share with you the teachings and philosophy of Jing-si aphorism. We cordially invite you to a parents meeting to take place on April 20, 2008, at the times listed below for your children’s classes:

1) 10：00am～10：50am 幼小誠/正、一年誠/正、三年誠/正、五年級、進修一、進修三/四
JK, Grade 1, 3, 5, 7, 9&10
2) 11：00am～11：50am 幼大誠/正、二年誠/正、四年級、六年級、進修二、雙語誠/正
SK, Grade 2, 4, 6, 8, bilingual

同時，老師們也將展示孩子自開學以來的作品。屆時，各班懇親會也對外開放。歡迎邀請對慈濟人文教育有興趣的親朋好友，一起共襄盛舉。老師們的用心付出，孩子的純真投入，更需要您的熱烈迴響！您的參與是懇親會成功的關鍵，期許各位家長踴躍參加，給老師、孩子們打氣。屆時您若有要與老師討論的議題，也歡迎您事先提出。非常感恩各位家長對學校的支持愛護與合作。
At the same time, the teachers will hold an exhibition of the students’ works and give demonstration of their teaching methods and classroom activities. This event will be open to the public so please invite your friends and family to join us for the day, and give the children and teachers your enthusiastic support.

2008/03/30 Fundraising Donation Ceremony

Bilingual students purchased 4CD players, 2DVD players and 8 Tzu-Chi CDs with the money they raised from the Fundraising event last Christmas and donated to Tzu-Chi Academy. One of the Bilingula teacher - Ms. Mei Liu gave a speech at the beginnging of this ceremony.
One of the representative students - Paul Des Rosiers thank to the school for giving us the opportunity to understand the meanings of "love" and "kindness" through this event.From donating the stuff, participating the fundraising sale, getting new equipment for school as teaching material, our students leanred and realized the circle of love.
Bilingual teachers Ms. Mei Liu(left) and Ms Stephany Liu (right) appreciated about the efforts made by each member from the school.

義賣活動捐贈儀式圓滿完成

雙語班此次的愛心義賣活動圓滿告一段落，我們邀請各班兩名代表參與出席義賣後的捐贈儀式，看著孩子們睜大雙眼看見自己無形的愛心轉化為有形的教學資源，心中展現無限的快樂。

雙語班的同學把義賣募集到的現金三百元購買了四部CD 收錄音機、兩部DVD 放映機外、還有數片慈濟歌選CD 以回饋學校對活動的支持。 同學們以恭敬心捐贈購買的器材，林校長帶著各處室師兄師姐以感恩心雙手接受學生們的誠心付出。
從愛心捐出東西支持義賣到捐贈教學器材回饋學校，是透過學校家長、同學、老師與志工師兄師姐們的善心付出和鼓勵而成就這個有意義的活動；這股愛的清流將繼續延續涓涓不息...

我們的書法時間─ 抒發人文氣息II

連續三個星期三個小時的書法課，我們從指導老師許君健老師從文字的起源、臨摹、到實際書寫都有了更深的認識和體會，看看我們大家的傑作，暫且不論程度的高低，我想最重要的是在這三個小時的過程中，除了墨水味與文字在課堂的空氣中交流外，最珍貴的是當我們靜下心後呈現出的成績是那麼的獨一無二啊！

這個寒冷的星期天早上，除了熱鬧滾滾的義賣活動，班上出現兩位特別的好朋友：秀鄕媽媽和她的女兒秀玲，都是班上去年的學生。看見他們再次出現，媽媽靦腆的笑著說：『很想念大家，所以來看看老師、看看你們！』看見秀鄉媽媽用柔和標準的國語和大家問好，同學們也露出歡迎快樂的笑容，我的好開心！
上人說過：『有願就有力！』秀鄉媽媽憑著信心、毅力和勇氣用心學習中文，現在的她會說也會寫，聽的理解力更是棒。相聚歡的時間在問候彼此中悄然流逝，一個探訪帶給我們無限的溫暖。我們誠心祝福她和秀玲、秀兒生活平安、事事順心如意。
