很開心在下學期開始之初，班上來了一位新同學加入我們這一班 - 伍景聰 Dave，一個面帶微笑、開朗、好學的大男生，記得他在自我介紹時曾經說過喜歡學習新的事物，老師真的希望 Dave 在與我們一起學習中文的過程中，除了期許中文有進步外，更能體會並獲得更多在慈濟學校這個大家庭裡擁有溫 暖、快樂感受與人文氣質。歡迎你的加入！

親愛的同學們

Beautiful Valentines is coming, have you thought any lovely surprise for your valentine or the family? don't hestitate, just do it!!
二月溫馨的情人節即將來臨，同學們是否有準備了一份貼心的小禮物送給你喜歡的人或家人了呢？想到就去做，不要猶豫囉！

Here are some events I would like you to know that will take place in February:
老師想告知同學們在二月份學校將舉行的一些活動：

1. The story-telling contest I am going to ask you to do is on page A7 of the blue correspondence book(A) - "zui4 mei3 de5 xiao4 rong2" and we are glad to have Amy, Simon, Victor and Nancy to run the contest on Feburary 4, 2004.
二月四日學校將舉行演講/說故事比賽，我們班的主題是『最美的笑容』，當天我們將請乙珊、濟源、永耀和麗嫻參加比賽，我們一起為他們誠心加油打氣喔！

2. On Feburary 4 afternoon, Tzu-Chi foundation Toronto branch is going to hold a Chinese Year-end celebration and blessings in Taipei Culture and Economic Centre from 1:30-3:30pm, welcome to join us with your family and friends.
二月四日當天下午，慈濟多倫多支會將在台北經濟文化中心 1:30-3:30pm 舉行歲末祝福會，主題是『感恩、尊重、愛』- 心寬念纯 ，美善人生，歡迎你和家人一起共襄盛舉！

3. We will be celebrating Chinese New Year on February 18. Similar to last year, we will have various activities and introduce traditional customs to the students. Friends and family are welcome to join us for the occasion.
二月十八日當天是中國農曆新年，像去年一樣，學校將舉行各式各樣的春節名俗技藝活動，還有財神爺和舞龍舞獅與我們一起歡渡新年，記得請爸爸媽媽送你們來學校的同時，也留下來感受新年的快樂與祝福吧！

As the weather is getting colder, please take good care of yourself and the family.
冬天的雪珊珊來遲，天氣也漸漸冷了，老師希望同學們要好好照顧自己和家人的身體並保持一顆喜樂的心喔！

心心相映 ── 製作靜思語小卡

善美好用心的剪下自己設計的心型卡片，把老師曾經教過的靜思語一一的寫在心上，記在心中....

老師在今天 ( 1 月7 日)的課堂上和學生們一起用新型卡紙設計出自己的靜思語筆記，看看同學們好認真的做著，漢文(Ian)、小玲(Nancy)和永耀(Victor) 互相討論說著:『我要把她做的很漂亮，然後放進自己的隨身包包裡，想到就可以拿出來讀一讀，還可以練習國語，這樣一定會進步的！』我聽了不禁莞爾一笑，便舉起相機按下快門，把握住當下的感動...

十二月三日的靜思語作文畫圖比賽的成績公佈了！恭喜班上的每一位同學，不論得獎與否，老師覺得你們用心畫出來的作品，都是張張佳作喔！老師為你們鼓鼓掌…J

靜思語教學觀摩 Teaching Demonstration on January 14th, 2007

在此要特別感恩林校長、李師兄、張主任和錦芬老師的心情分享，你們的一言一句都是我們最珍貴的學習方向喔！

平日繁忙於工作的校長，在假日仍歡喜忙碌的為學校、為慈濟付出的喜悅，我想我們已從他臉上的笑容看見『歡喜付出』最好的答案…

今天早上的教學觀摩，我們好開心看見許多的老師和師兄師姐們與我們一起進行45分鐘的靜思語教學課程。看見同學們在體驗活動中精湛的演出，你們生動的傳達出慈濟人文的氣質和樂於助人的誠心，我們一起期勉自我『要過得忙忙碌碌，不要過得庸庸碌碌』。讓我們的生活有目的、有意義和希望！

『小樹啊！我要你成為一科頂天立地的大樹，我的希望和期盼也隨著它成長和堅韌…..』這是我們今天學習的手語課中的其中一句歌詞。看見同學們認真、專心的表情，我感動的想按下快門捕捉美好的鏡頭！

“Little tree! I wish you will become a big tree that stands solid on ground and touches sky, my wish and hope will grow and become strong with it…..” this is the lyrics from the song we learned in the sign language class today. I cannot help but catch the moment with all your happy smiles and expression in the class!! good shot?
